2017: The “Lost” Year

It’s hard to believe that 2017 is already coming to an end, isn’t it?

I certainly had high hopes for 2017. I bet you did, too. However, we apparently weren’t quite there yet.

Many of us spent some or all of the year feeling a little (or a lot) lost or confused, being unclear as to where our path was taking us or where the path even was sometimes.

For me, 2017 was the year when I lost sight of what I really wanted for myself. When I lost some of the people and places that had once made me feel so safe and secure. When I lost (at my own hand) one of the most significant relationships in my life.

It was also the year when I lost the notion that I had to play small and sacrifice for love. When I lost the attachments to people and places that were keeping me from living my full potential. When I lost any fear of doing what is required to fulfill my purpose.

In all these years, I have never felt the coming year so strongly so far ahead of the actual New Year. For that reason alone, I know that 2018 is going to be a year for the record books!
